Bailey at 5 months

Well I thought I would give a quick update on our baby.....Bailey.

She is getting so big now. She is as tall as Abby, we just measured her yesterday. We didn't get the exact height on her because she wouldn't sit still.

She is still lots of fun and oh sooo cute! She is like have a little kid running around. She really loves her ropes that she chews on. She has chewed through 2 in the last 3 months. I just bought her a new one. I am hoping it might last a while. The girls picked it out, it is pink and white. She loves to go in the back yard and chew on wood. She has the block of wood that she just loves. She keeps trying to bring it in the house and we won't let her. This is kindof a cute story, I just have to tell you. When we put her in her kennal at night and before we go somewhere, we always take a treat down with us to get her to go in her kennal. The other day Carl and I had to go to a funeral. I was already down stairs so I decided I would just call her down and put her in her kennal and then we could leave. Well she came running down stairs and before I could get the door open on the kennal she smelt of my hand and realized that I didn't have a treat and took off up stairs. I had to get her a treat to get her to go back to her kennal. It was kind of funny!

Chey in daddies cloths

A couple weeks ago we planted some strawberry plants in a pot in the front yard to see if they would grow. They have actually sprouted and are growing now.

Well, Chey woke up saturday morning and decided that she wanted to go and check on the strawberries. So she put on daddies coat and boots to go and check. This is what she looked like.

Isn't she cute!

Ribbon Holder

I found this online a couple weeks ago and thougt it was such a good idea that I thought I would blog about it.

Do you have spools of ribbon laying around taking up space that you don't technically have? I know I do. Well this is a solution to free up some space and feel a little more organized.

The supplies you will need.
clothes pins, sandpaper, straight pins and ribbon

The sand paper is for the rough edges that the clothes pin might have that the ribbon might get caught on. You may not even need it. I bought my clothes pins at the dollar store, I think there were 25 or 30 in a package.

Step #1

Start by placing your ribbon between the opening on the cloths pin.

Step #2

Then twist your ribbon around the clothes pin.

Step #3

Finish by putting a straight pin the the ribbon holding it in place.

Step #4

Place in basket or clear jar.

The blog I saw had then organized according to color in some clear canisters. Personally I just use these baskets. Only because I don't have the clear canisters, I will be searching for some at yard sales this year though. The only down fall that I have found to this is that you have to dig for the ribbon you want. For me.....its worth it to have to dig to save some space.

Taylor and Bailey

April 18th, Taylor decided to sleep on the couch that night. Apparently Bailey thought she would sleep with her. When Carl and I decided to go to bed. This is what we found.....

So Cute!!

Easter Weekend

Easter turned into a all weekend event. Saturday we went to Murray park walked around the trails and carl and the girls rolled down the hills. We let the girls play on the playground equipment. They really like that park. It has lots of fun things to do.

These things spin around....They were laying on it while daddy spun it.

Taylor playing on the rings.

Cheyenne doing the monkey bars.

Carl even got in on the fun, and did a spin around the bar. I tryed...but it didn't work out so well. We didn't get a picture of me(thank goodness).

After the park we went to Heather and Jims for dinner. We had a easter egg hunt in their backyard for the kids.Uncle Carl helping Colin find an egg.

Cheyenne, Lilly and Taylor with their easter baskets.

After the egg hunt we ate dinner and let the kids watch a movie while the adults played a game. I can't remember the name of the game but it was lots of fun.

The next day, Sunday, we went to church in the morning and then met my parents at their house for lunch that afternoon.

It was a fun weekend. Wonderful weather to enjoy and be outside and reflect on some of the wonderful things that God created.

Birthday Fun!

I turned 31 this year on March 24th. It was a great birthday! It all started on the 23rd. First of all, a friend of mine from work had her baby.

Isn't she adorable! Her name is Jaycee. I finally had a chance to go and see her on the 25th.

On the 23rd I got an email from my really good friend Stacey asking if I wanted to join her and Erin, Marisa, Elyssa, Sierra and Charlotte to see Bride Wars that night. I honestly didn't think they remembered my birthday, but to my surprise when I got there Erin and Stacey both had birthday bags. Stacey did this birthday in a bag. She brought a feather boa for me to wear and party rings for everyone and some candy for everyone to share. Erin bought me a shirt and a necklace to go with it. It was so much fun! After the movie we went to Village inn for some drinks and food. I didn't get home until 11:30 that night but it was well worth it. Thanks guys for remembering me, I had a great time.

The next morning I was awakened by my two beautiful girls and their daddy. They got up early to give me my birthday present. The girls both made cards for me themselves and taylor made a homemade gift bag. I got a camera! It is very nice. Its a kodak 12.3 mp. I love it! I carry it in my purse everywhere I go. You never know when you might need to have a camera handy.

(This is me reading my manual for my camera)

The night of my birthday we played a baloon popping game that my girls put together with daddy the night before. They sang to me and we ate my favorite desert......Chocolate cake with Chocolate frosting!

(the mini crunch bar on the side of the couch was in one of the baloons)

That weekend we went to dinner at Cafe Rio with my family. That is one of my favorite places to eat! It was a fun week!

Hello out there

Hey all!!
Sorry it has been so long. Last time I posted was when my parents were out of town and I was struggling to make it out alive. Well, I made it! Life has been busy, busy, busy!
Let's see.....Let's give you an update on things in our/my lives.

Work - I still have a job(Thank God!). As of Monday they made a new transition in my department. I now have a new boss. I am still an underwriting assistant, I just assist Mid Market underwriters now. I think it will be a good challenge. I am really excited about the change, and I really like my new boss. He's great!

Home - Let's see....Carl is working and taking a drafting class online. He is doing really well. I am very proud of him. He's seems to be loving it so far. He stays pretty busy at work too. That is a good thing with this economy lately. Not sure if I mentioned it in prior posts, but I was taking a course in insurance as well. I have finished my course. I take my test on June 11th. I will keep everyone posted on whether I pass or not. Pray for me that I will!
Cheyenne is almost out of preschool. This year has flown by so fast it seems. Her last day is May 19th. She starts kindergarten next year. She is so excited. We just went to the zoo for her last field trip of the year. It was lots of fun. I will post about it later, I promise! Chey is also taking dance. She loves it! Her first recital is June 24th and 25th. I will post pictures when she has it. Taylor just went back to school from being off track for a whole month. She won't get out again til the end of June now. She will be in 4th grade next year. Its hard to believe sometimes that I have an 8 year old (and 5 year old). Taylor starts piano lessons in June. Daddy says they both have to play an instrument, so we chose piano first. She wants to play the violin too. Chey wants to play guitar. We might put her in lessons sometime next year.
I almost forgot to update on the doggies. We took both of them to the vet at the first of April. They are doing well. Bailey is growing like a weed. She stands almost as tall as Abby now. She is still really skinny and has the longest legs. She just has a really cute face though. We took her in on Friday (may 1st) to be spade. Everything went well. She is healing just perfectly. She was down the first day, but by saturday she was up trying to play with abby. By sunday she was back to her old self. As of today you wouldn't know she had surgery. At least we won't have to worry about having little bailey's running around now. I didn't even want to go through that.

Well without posting pictures that is about it. I will post some pics later. I got a new camera for my birthday so I have some piling up. I promise I will try to update more often now. I think I am starting to get back into the swing of things now.

Life at the Enmans

Well life is very hectic these days in the Enman household. Let me explain myself....

First of all, Bailey is about 15 weeks old now. She has grown 4 inches in 5 weeks. She is getting very tall, very fast. I think that Abby is acting out because of the puppy though. She is getting into everything lately. We are trying to figure things out with her.

Second...My mom and dad went on vacation for 3 weeks to see family. As most of you know my parents help me out everyday with my daughters. This was the first week of them being gone. I work from home for half a day in the mornings so that I can get the girls off to school. Then I go into work until 5(mainly to see what paperwork I may have from my underwriters on my desk).
I am taking a insurance class on Tuesdays at 4:30. Therefore on Tuesdays I stay home all day and work from there. Its a little easier doing that. I think I have everyone possible helping me that will and can. I told my mom that she can't leave for a three week vacation anymore. She just laughed at me! The kids are learning alot of responsiblity this way though. Both of them have been very helpful!

I do have a highlight in all of this....I finally got caught up on all my laundry. With some help from my husband and Taylor of course. Its all washed, it just needs to be put away(I think that falls on me now). It will come, I hope!

Well I better go and get some more work done. I will try to keep you all posted on my hectic life within the next 3 weeks. If I survive.........

Jeff Dunham

My brother loves Jeff Dunham! He has all his videos now(just got 2 for christmas from my parents). He has really got me hooked on him. He is pretty funny! For those of you that don't know who Jeff Dunham is, I will help clue you in. He is a ventiliquist, he has several puppets. First there is my favorite, Peanut, he is a purple woozle. My second favorite is, Achmed the Dead Terrorist. He also has Melvin, the super hero, Bubba J, the redneck, Jalepeno on a stick and Walter. I love Peanuts laugh and Achmed's famous saying "I Kill You."
So for Christmas this last year, My sister-in-law surprised us with tickets for his upcoming show. The show was this last Thursday, Jan 22nd. I was looking forward to this show ever since the day that I found out we were going. It was sooo much fun!! I've heard most of the jokes before, but you still laugh at them. Love his whole act, even guitar guy (he's his opening act). It was a really fun evening! Thanks Jerry and Shauna!!!
I will include a link to his web page incase you would like to check out more of him.

Sorry its been so long.....

Things have been so busy lately around the enman household. I haven't had a chance to update the blog lately. Sorry!
Well just a quick update on the puppy. She is growing like a weed! She is now about 13 weeks old. She has grown about 3 or 4 inches since we got her. I officially think she has a sock fettish. Everyday, every chance she gets she is bringing us socks. She loves to snuggle. She always has to lay right next to you when she is on the couch. She esspecially likes to get up behind you before you lean back on the couch and get comfortable and go to sleep. Its been fun to have her around. We have our good days and bad days. However we don't regret getting her. She is such a good addition to the family.

Update on Bailey

Well despite the few accidents that we have had. We still love Bailey just as much, if not more as the day we got her. She is having fewer accidents in the house. She is getting the idea that she is suppose to be going outside to go potty. Abby is even beginning to like her around. She plays with her a little more everyday. Bailey doesn't whine much when we put her in her kennel at night to sleep now. She is so much fun to have around! She just adds so much more excitement to the house. She loves to play with anything or anyone. (Typical puppy I guess.) I even noticed that she is starting to enjoy her food a little more. She doesn't scarf it down like she is starving to death.

Carl and the girls measured her on the wall the first day that we got her to watch how much and how fast she grows. She has already grown 1/2 an inch in 4 days. That is amazing!

Smores.....YUMMMM

This afternoon we Barbequed steaks on the grill. Yes that is right. Nothing will stop us from grilling, not even a little bit of cold weather. It was only 18 degrees this afternoon, and that was the high! Sorry I did not get pictures of carl out at the barbequer. So our thought was that after we had dinner and watched a movie, we would make smores on the grill. Its really easy as long as you have foil and a hot grill. Well by the time Carl got back from the store with the graham crackers the grill was no longer hot, and I realized I was out of foil and didn't have him buy any. So we opted to try to make the smores in the oven. I put the graham crackers on a baking sheet. I then placed the chocolate on top of the cracker and placed a marshmellow on top of that. We put them in the oven on broil high, and watched them cook!
When you take them out you smash the top cracker on top of them and let them cool for just a few minutes. They turned out perfect!!

They are still just as messy, but taste just as good!

We even got Cheyenne to eat one! She usually opts to have the smore not cooked and separated on a plate. She didn't finish it though. She got really messy and decided that she was done with it. Nothing that a little stain remover won't fix! I hope.......

Bath Day!

Today was bath day for the two dogs. This was the first bath that we have given Bailey since she has been with us (a whole 3 days now). Carl said he kindof had to hold her in the tub as you can see in the picture above.(She didn't really like it very much.) Carl dried her with a towel and she just kept licking herself. She would do her cute little pouncing at us in the kitchen, but she didn't really run all around like abby does. Abby loves the bath though! She feels much better after the bath. She runs all over the house excited and trying to shake herself dry. It was fun and eventful right before church this morning. Now both of the dogs smell very nice!

Meet Bailey!

Meet Bailey!!

Isn't she adoreable! Last night Carl was looking online and saw this cute little puppy on ksl for free. No we were not actually looking for another dog. But we really felt that it was just meant to be in our family. She is a 10 week old, German Shorthaired Lab. They are considered a hybrid dog. She currently looks like a minature Abby.

So far she is very obedient. We have had a very good start on the potty training so far. She whines alot when she is put in her kennel. I don't think she likes it very much. She will have to get use to it though. She is fun to have so far! She has adapted to the family very quickly.
